Chin Restin’

Ah, what a perfect day to rest the ol’ chin.

Over the years, through much dedication and practice, Sid has refined this skill and taken it to new levels. If there are any young puglets out there that yearn to learn this ancient pug art, please observe a master at work:

New Year Delay

Happy 2017 to all of our friends both furry and fur-less!

After the holidays it got REALLY COLD in Chicago – we’re talking BELOW ZERO with the wind chill so we’re been hunkered down at Pug Slope HQ and thus haven’t had much opportunity for adventure lately.

I think Sid’s okay with that.

He told me his resolution this year is to get fatter (duh, I mean it’s the goal of every pug in existence). He’s already well on his way though as our walks have been extremely brief due to the arctic conditions outside.

So he’ll be napping, snacking, and increasing his diameter until Spring comes — then it’s Pug Boot Camp time (shhh, don’t tell him!).

The Spotlight

Leave it to a pug to always find their way into the spotlight — even while napping.

Sleepytime Sid

After lunch, Sid likes to relax with a snore-filled afternoon nap in his cozy green bed. Be sure to turn up your speakers for full “Snore-o-phonic” sound.

Keepin’ it Kool

It’s been pretty dang hot here lately in Chicago. Sid has come up with a plan to deal with the heat. He plans to nap right next to our tiny window AC unit until the outside temperatures dip down below 75 again. He said he’ll be all ready for an adventure when that time comes, but until then he’ll be staying inside. I think I’m going to join him!

Working Hard (or Hardly Working)

So, in case you were wondering, this is what happens when you delegate household chores to your pug:

I should have known this would happen when he negotiated for “treats up front”.

Oh well, live and learn.

Sleepwalking

Some days, just going for your afternoon walk requires way too much effort. For Sid, today happened to be one of those days.

I think he may have been partying too late last night.

Or perhaps it was a series of intense dreams that prevented him from getting his normal 12 to 14 hours of shut-eye.

Or maybe this is all just a ploy to get us back home faster so he can get his routine post-walk treat.

Okay, okay, little guy. Let’s get you back home and revive you with some baby carrots!

Hope you all have a relaxing weekend! I know we will!
